I’ve always been a communications specialist. As a speech pathologist in the 1980′s, I worked with children and adults to help them speak better. Twenty five years later, JFields Marketing brings me full circle, where I find myself helping small business owners create and communicate their business message to customers.
Along the way, I’ve been connector, initiator and above all, a communicator. In 1990, I started Mothers’ Day Out with a group of stay-at-home mom friends. Today, MDO is a community linchpin, caring for hundreds of kids and families every year. That’s a good feeling - being part of something that serves the community and continues helping people long after moving on.
Today, I’ve found my niche with JFields Marketing. Collaborating, brainstorming, creating, writing and moving projects from start to finish is more fun than just about anything. At home, our three kids are growing up and out of the nest, straddling the college years. I look forward to the next phase of life with all the opportunities available.
For fun and relaxation, I read a lot of nonfiction (love Malcolm Gladwell and well written biographies), I am happy, happy, happy to dig in my gardens (something transformative happens when hands meet earth) , and I adore cooking for appreciative audiences, especially my long-time dinner partner and husband Jeff.
